Sometimes, carving is simply relaxing to me—doing something I know and love, working with a type of wood that feels right in the moment. Today, that was olive wood, and it became a book pendant. I even made my first short long-form video about it.

Over the past few months, The Dice Grove has taken our tile prototypes to fairs in the Netherlands and Belgium to share our vision: a set of wooden, hand-painted modular tiles for tabletop RPGs.

This project started out as an experiment, making maps on plywood with a soldering iron and watercolor paints that quickly grew into the concept of modular map sets that any game master or player can use.
